On October 17, we hosted a Postural Check Seminar at our clinic, with a total of 12 participants joining the session. Dr. Kosaki led the seminar, sharing practical knowledge about what good posture truly means, how to maintain it through simple exercises, and providing individual postural assessments and feedback for each participant.
During the seminar, Dr. Kosaki discussed posture in three common positions—sitting, standing, and sleeping. Many people believe that keeping the back overly straight or extended is “good posture,” but in reality, that can lead to unnecessary tension and fatigue. A neutral, relaxed position supported by deep core muscle control helps minimize stress on the body and promotes efficient movement throughout the day.

Participants also learned specific exercises to address common postural issues, such as poor hip control while sitting or tightness in the lower back. These exercises are designed to improve mobility, enhance stability, and make it easier to maintain good posture in daily activities.

Finally, each attendee received an individual postural check, allowing them to understand their own body alignment and learn personalized tips for improvement.

We hope this seminar helps participants apply what they learned not only at work but also in all aspects of daily life. Maintaining good posture is a continuous process—and small changes can make a big difference in how your body feels and performs every day.
