Dr. Rowan Huang (Yu-Ting Huang)

Chronic Pain • Pelvic Health • Sports Rehab
Mandarin-speaking Physical Therapist in New York City

Rowan Huang is a licensed physical therapist based in New York City, specializing in chronic pain, women’s pelvic health, sports injury rehabilitation, adult scoliosis, and post-surgical care. Her care is guided by a patient-centered philosophy, grounded in clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice. She combines movement control strategies, manual therapy techniques, and performance training to help patients overcome pain and move with greater confidence and ease.

Born and raised in Taiwan, Rowan is fluent in MandarinEnglish, and Taiwanese, enabling her to provide culturally responsive care across New York City.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Chang Gung University and a master’s degree in Physical Therapy and Assistive Technology from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, both in Taiwan. She later earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from New York University.
Before moving to the U.S., she worked for several years at leading physical therapy clinics in Taiwan, gaining extensive hands-on experience in outpatient care.

Rowan’s approach is also shaped by her experience as a former collegiate athlete who recovered from an ACL rupture, ankle sprains, and a disc herniation. These injuries sparked her passion for physical therapy and deepened her empathy for those recovering from pain and movement limitations.

She has worked with a diverse range of patients, including:
• Adults with scoliosis, especially those looking for safe weight training and posture correction
• Individuals with poor posture, chronic pain, or movement-related discomfort
• Patients undergoing pre- and post-operative physical therapy
• Professional and recreational athletes recovering from injuries, working on return-to-sport rehab and movement optimization
• Women recovering from pregnancy and childbirth
• Women with pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, and core instability

Outside the clinic, Rowan enjoys hikingtravelingphotographybasketball, and table tennis.
