What Brought Him In
Mr. A had a left Total Hip Replacement (THR) 18 years ago.
After the COVID period, his activity level dropped, his strength decreased, and walking became more effortful.
He developed front-hip pain and had more difficulty with daily movements.
He also felt less steady and worried about falling.
When he first came to our clinic, he had a significant side-to-side sway while walking, moved more slowly, and felt hip pain with each step.
Our First Week Together
During our first session, we focused on restoring scar tissue mobility, improving hip mobility, and strengthening key hip stabilizers.
I also gave him a home exercise program to work on.
Every morning before work, he went to the gym to complete the training program I gave him.
After just one week, his consistency made a noticeable difference.
His walking became smoother, more stable, and more efficient.
His pain decreased, and his confidence started to return — showing that meaningful progress is possible even many years after surgery.
And if he can improve 18 years later, imagine the potential right after surgery.
Surgery Was Successful, But Has Your Rehab Been Successful?
Many post-operative patients continue to struggle with walking issues or chronic aches because certain key factors are often overlooked during recovery.
1. Poor Scar Mobility
Adhesions can limit how the surrounding tissues glide and move, preventing smooth, pain-free motion.
2. Adaptive Shortening
Prolonged rest or protective movement patterns create muscle tightness, leading to restricted range of motion.
3. Muscle Inactivation
Key stabilizers are never properly retrained or “woken up” after surgery, causing ongoing weakness or compensation.

Early rehab is your golden window to get stronger and return to a pain-free life.
Surgery was only the first step.
It’s time for you to get real rehab!
Motion is medicine!
And we’re still continuing the work — ongoing training and treatment to keep him progressing even further.
