September and October Highlights with Our Running Club

As fall settled in, our running club embraced some fantastic experiences and events, showcasing our community’s spirit and love for activity. Here’s a quick recap of what we’ve been up to recently.

September 1st: Our First Pickleball Event

We kicked off September by trying something new—a pickleball event! Ten people joined us to learn and enjoy this fast-growing sport. It was a fantastic way to break from our usual activities, connect with each other, and challenge ourselves with a different type of workout.

September 15th: Running Form Workshop

Mid-September brought us back to basics with a running form workshop. I had the chance to present some common running mistakes and help everyone refine their form. With a PowerPoint presentation to guide us, we covered key principles and techniques. Afterward, I assessed each person’s running style and offered personalized tips, helping everyone get closer to a more efficient and injury-free run.

October 20th: Hiking Adventure in Cold Spring

In October, we took our community spirit to the trails, hiking in beautiful Cold Spring. The weather was perfect, the views were breathtaking, and we completed the hike with no injuries. It was a day filled with camaraderie and appreciation for nature’s beauty—an experience we’re already excited to repeat next year. I would like to share some beautiful photos below.

Building a Diverse and Welcoming Community

Each month, our club hosts various events to offer more than just running. These activities help us connect beyond the track, fostering a sense of community and providing opportunities for everyone to enjoy different types of physical activity. Social interaction is a key factor in a healthy life, and we hope our club can be a place where members feel welcome, engaged, and motivated.

So, let’s continue running together weekly, explore new activities, and create lasting friendships. Whether it’s at our next run or during our monthly events, I look forward to seeing you all and sharing more moments with our fantastic club!
